Xiaomi completes the production of smartphones from the Mi Max and Mi Note product lines. This was announced by CEO Lei Jun through the Weibo Social Network.

The end is the beginning of something new

Lei Jun also commented on the reasons why they decided to do so on the announcement he made on the Weibo Social Network. In general, however, they want to divide the product line into two groups of smartphones – Xiaomi and Redmi.

In the case of Xiaomi phones, the company will focus on phones from the Mi 9, Mi Mix, business device categories and on CC phones (Meitu phones whose target group is young people born in the 90s). At the same time, Lei indirectly ranks them among the premium segments. Unlike Redmi phones, it is characterized by high quality and low cost devices. The company wants to focus on the Redmi 7 and K20 product lines for the Redmi brand. He believies that this changes are better like any advertisment, because they can focus on what they do best.

The devices from the Mi Max and Redmi Note product lines were characterized by display sizes. In the case of the Mi Max devices, the phones could also be placed in the Phabet category. These were primarily products that were supposed to compete with Samsung, which stands behind Note devices.
