Digital Encode Limited has been named the lead sponsor of the sixth edition of the Africa Tech Alliance Forum (AfriTECH 6.0), the organisation announced on Tuesday. The cybersecurity firm joins a growing list of speakers including Muhammed Rudman, Uche Uzoebo, and Happiness Obioha for the event scheduled for November 13, 2026, at the Oriental Hotel in Lekki, Lagos.

The forum will gather technology executives, policymakers, investors, and entrepreneurs to discuss how technology can drive Africa’s economic transformation under the theme “The Next $1 Trillion Opportunity: Building Africa Through Technology.”

Speakers span infrastructure, fintech, and cybersecurity

Additional speakers announced include Muhammed Rudman, CEO of the Internet Exchange Point of Nigeria (IXPN); Uche Uzoebo, Managing Director of Shared Agent Network Expansion Facilities Limited (SANEF); and Happiness Obioha, CEO of Tizel Cybersecurity and Regional Sales Director at Tecom Concepts Limited.

Rudman brings extensive experience in telecommunications and internet infrastructure. He served as the pioneer CEO of IXPN, Nigeria’s first and only neutral internet exchange point. He also holds positions as Executive President of the Nigerian Internet Registration Association (NiRA) and chairs the Nigeria IPv6 Council.

Uzoebo, who leads SANEF, adds a focus on financial inclusion. With over two decades of banking experience, their work focuses on expanding access to financial services through agent networks and digital solutions.

Obioha brings a commercial and enterprise perspective to cybersecurity. As CEO of Tizel Cybersecurity and Regional Sales Director at Tecom Concepts, she has held business development and management roles across technology consulting and enterprise solutions.

The event will also host the Africa Tech Alliance Excellence Awards (ATAEx Awards) 2026. These awards recognise organisations and individuals contributing to the development of Africa’s technology ecosystem.

Focus on infrastructure and digital trust

Digital Encode Limited, founded in 2003 by Professor Adewale Peter Obadare, specialises in cybersecurity, information security, and Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) advisory services. The firm serves clients across the financial services, telecommunications, fintech, and public sectors.

According to the company, its sponsorship highlights the importance of cybersecurity and digital trust as Africa moves toward its next phase of technology-led growth. As African institutions expand their use of digital platforms, cloud services, and artificial intelligence, managing technology risks has become integral to sustainable digital transformation.

“For five years, AfriTECH has been a room where the real conversations happen,” said Chike Onwuegbuchi, Co-Convener of the Africa Tech Alliance Forum.

Other industry leaders join the agenda

Earlier, the organisers unveiled Dr. Aminu Maida, the Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC). He joins Engr. Gbenga Adebayo, who serves as Chairman of the Association of Licensed Telecommunications Operators of Nigeria (ALTON). Engr. Ikechukwu Nnamani, Chief Executive Officer of Digital Realty Nigeria, and James Agada, founder of Ixzdore Laboratories Limited, also appear on the speaker list.

Recognition of technology excellence

AfriTECH 6.0 and the ATAEx Awards 2026 are open to sponsors, partners, delegates, and members of the press. Organisations interested in sponsorship, partnership, and exhibition opportunities are encouraged to contact the organising team. Participation is free, but registration is required on the AfriTECH Alliance website.
