Mac Users Get New Homebrew Interface

Homebrew is a package manager that allows Mac users to install and update apps quickly and securely. Recently, Homebrew launched its own GUI, making it easier to use the service. The GUI-enabled app can be launched from the Applications folder and used to discover, install, update, and remove apps.

The left pane of the GUI has several tabs, including one for installed apps, updates, fixes for issues, and Homebrew settings. It also has an option called “Discover,” which lets you search for apps available to install via Homebrew. Just use the search bar to look for your favorite apps, and if they show up, click the “Install” button. This will download that app to your Mac, and automatically complete the installation.
