Walmart’s Fall Deals offer discounts without membership

Walmart’s Fall Deals begins at midnight ET on Oct. 5 and runs through Oct. 11, offering discounts across electronics, home goods, and seasonal items without requiring a membership. The promotion mirrors Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days, which typically triggers comparable offers from other large retailers each year.
Unlike the Amazon event, the sale is open to any shopper—no subscription is needed. Members of Walmart+ may receive early entry, although the exact window for this year has not been announced. The service carries an annual fee or a free 30-day trial, with the annual plan costing $98.
According to the retailer’s current homepage and past trends, deals are likely to include up to 30% off toys, up to 50% off home products, up to 40% off “home upgrades,” up to 25% off tools, up to 30% off Halloween items, up to 40% off tech, and up to 25% off wellness products.

The timing of the promotion overlaps with upcoming sales at other chains, including Target’s planned event later in the same week. Consumers who compare prices across platforms may uncover better bargains on specific items, especially when factoring in shipping costs and in-store availability.
Historically, Walmart’s seasonal sales have drawn crowds seeking value outside the Amazon ecosystem. Because a membership is not required, the event appeals to a wide audience, while the promise of early access remains a strong incentive for those enrolled in the premium program.
